Another monster tooth has broken through! For the last 2 or 3 days, Emma has been a little fussier than normal, drooling, and chewing on her fingers... We were out doing errands this afternoon, and sitting in the cart, Emma threw her head back to laugh- sure enough, there's a monster premolar that has emerged on her top right side! Now she has a complete opposing set on the right to chow down!! :)

Brother or sister?

Well, we've got good news to share with everyone. Emma will soon have a sibling to help with egg collection and general tomfoolery around the house! Robyn is also excited because she will be at similar points in her pregnancy from Emma during the year so she'll be able to reuse her maternity clothing.

Hmmm, so after a few minutes of investigating, I found a post on Blogger.com dated 1/19/10 saying that they were aware of people having trouble viewing videos, and that it was still being worked on... I guess we'll just have to keep an eye on it. Doesn't seem to have been fixed in the last month!

emma's new pasttime

Emma recently found Daddy's bottle brush and has decided that it is very useful for cleaning *everything* in the house... She was also pulling her pants up to her thighs and walking around holding them there, it was hilarious, and she was laughing! We couldn't get her to do it again on video but we'll keep an eye out for a repeat!
Ok, so a lot of people are having trouble with the videos- I've found it's hit or miss- sometimes they work fine, and other times I get a message that it's temporarily unavailable... don't know why this is, if it's a problem with blogspot or if I've got too much loaded into the blog by now. We'll keep an eye on it- if you can't open them, try again later in the day and see if it will work!

Here are a few pictures, mostly of a recent trip to Mimi and PopPop's house, we also went for a quick visit to Emma's great grandma and grandpa's house, where she had a ton of fun running around and trying to get into everything! She ate like it was going out of style, and didn't even want to stop for a brief photo with Auntie Jamie! It was a fun visit, and as a bonus, we discovered that Emma is a fan of pickled beets!!! Emma has also been having a lot of fun using a salad dressing mixer to make bubbles in the tub- we got some bubble bath for her, and she has been having so much fun that it is nearly impossible to get her out of the tub!

And I should mention... we went out for errands yesterday and we occasionally had an unidentified, unclaimed odor crop up in the car.... Guess Emma takes after her Daddy after all! Hahahah!

Little fingers

The fingers are finding their way in the nose more and more..... I guess she gets that from her mother.

Here are a few pictures from the weekend- lots of fun and games! :) More later!

Emma is loving the bouncy horse! She hasn't figured out where to put her feet but she loves bouncing on it! I promise the videos work even though no picture shows up! Just click play!

Here's another video, Mimi and Emma doing Patty Cakes! Emma loved it so much, I think they did it about 20 times before Emma finally got up! :D

Here's a video Auntie Chelsea took using Uncle Maffis' iPhone- Emma just can't get enough hugs and kisses in on Snubby, and her latest efforts seem to be directed towards using him as a chair or a bed! She sure is a sweetie, he puts up with a lot of lovin'!

Ok, I even got new software that can flip videos for when I forget to hold the camera right... I flipped this one around, saved it, and it still comes up sideways!

Emma loves this shirt- the little hedgehog gets a lot of attention from her! Earlier in the day she was playing around with the sleeve and ended up with her arm out the neck hole- she started working on the other arm so that she had more room to look at the hedgehog! She is so silly!

Emma using her Tag Junior

Emma and Daddy had fun making bread the other day- Emma helped stir everything together, and loved using the red scoop to play with the dough! She has some chubby cheeks, since just like Daddy, she loves dough!! The very doughy hands and face had to be cleaned soon after...

Emma has recently discovered the immense joys of dumping out the boxes of her cards- she loves 86-card-pickup!

Eating techniques

Not a big deal to many but we've noticed Emma has started figuring out what her teeth can do. For about a month or so she's biting into food instead of having to start out with small bite sized stuff. She bit through an apple, peel and all, today for lunch.

New pictures!! Finally! :)

Emma has discovered that Daddy has a shirt in his bottom drawer that has the same "VT" symbol on it that her cheerleading outfit does- she will go to his drawer, point to Daddy's VT, run to her drawer, find her cheerleading uniform, point the the VT, then back again over and over- she loves that they match! She was so excited about it the other day that I put the uniform on her so she could have her VT with her all day!
Emma knows very well where we store all her study cards- she asks for them and loves playing with them. Now, when she's done, she not only tries to stack them up like we do when cleaning up, but she'll actually put them back into the drawer, close it, and close the door- she's helping at night to put all her books and toys away before bathtime!
Helping Daddy count the beans- she was fascinated with them
The beans make a funny sound when you drop them into the pot!
Studying her videos- it's quite a workout- note that she's leaning on the TV cabinet and holding her juice cup!
Here's Emma going a little gangsta again
This was sort of a funny little grin, but it shows off some of her many teeth- on the bottom she has 4 in front and one molar, and on the top she's got 3 in front and it looks like 2 molars just waiting to pop their little selves out!
Showing off her cute new polka-dotted outfit- she loved studying them so much that they stayed in the kitchen for several days after they arrived so that she could play with them- she really likes to play with jackets- putting them around her neck and trying to put her arms in them.
We've got another 10 inches or so of snow on the ground from a few days ago, and expecting another winter storm this weekend, so we've mostly been holed up at home, looking forward to some nice days that we can get out for a walk!
