Another weekend has flown by! Mimi and PopPop came down for a visit (and of course PopPop couldn't wait to get to work on the barn!!) Despite some cold windy weather to start, the weekend ended up gorgeous on Sunday. Here are some pictures from recent days-
Emma getting ready for a walk, we've added the little leg covering accessory, it seems to help with the wind!
Here's Mommy and Emma at the barn- Mommy got to help PopPop put the stall mats in- it's been a while since she has accomplished such a big task! :)
Here's Mommy and Daddy with Emma outside the barn, the last of the sliding doors has been hung! Yay!
Emma's first spaghetti experience... hindsight is 20/20- definitely avoid white clothes next time!
Mommy and Emma reading a new book from Abuelita and Grandpa Saz!
Mommy and Emma reading a bedtime story-
Emma experimenting with Mimi's zipper!
Emma helping Mommy to feed some grass to the kitties!
Emma loves this dog she got for her birthday- she hugs it and wrestles with it! Too cute!!

Emma has gotten really good with identifying new objects, and she's even picking out words when we ask her to- using two cards in front of her, we can ask her which one says "___" and she's usually able to pick it out!
Also, in the last few days she's developed her clap! It doesn't make much noise yet, but it's just too cute!!!

More pictures...
Puzzle organization
Ok, here's a little example of Emma's organizational skills... most of the time she's taking things "out" and "sorting" them... occasionally she puts things "in!" This is a puzzle Emma's Auntie Judy sent her last year. Yes, it's a Sunday, and Emma's enjoying the day in her pj's! :) Don't expect a lot of action here- this is mostly for those of you who just can't get enough of Emma Kate in action... not a lot exciting going on right at the moment...... :)

Back from St. Louis!
We went to St. Louis this past weekend for a CE meeting, and we had a great time! Emma did wonderfully on our trip in, even with the 10 minute sprint of a layover in Chicago! She enjoyed all the sights and people (everyone was very interested in meeting her and making her laugh or smile... or sometimes cry... :P) She ate well, had some good playtimes, and enjoyed going for several walks. We even got to take a few minutes to go explore the arch and got to go all the way to the top! The trip home was a little more difficult- the first leg of the trip went perfectly, but about 10 minutes into the second flight, Emma had a bit of a meltdown- she was exhausted, and it took a little while to convince her to settle down and she took a nice heavy nap. Man that little girl can make a lot of noise!!!
Here's Emma all excited about her first flight-She has been standing strong and occasionally will balance for a brief moment. She's also just started actually pointing- before she would "point" with an open hand, and she's now using her pointer finger alone! It's such a cute little knobby finger, I hope to get a picture of her pointing on here soon! She's learning lots of names for things and can point to several objects when we give their names- she's making connections!
We're hoping to have a relatively quiet week and recover a little from our busy weekend!
Emma giving Daddy a big kiss- this second leg of the journey was hot- the AC in the back of the plane didn't work too well, so Emma had the luxury of being partially naked- everyone else wished they could do the same... ugh, so stuffy!
Here we are at the sign going to the arch-

Here we are at the highest point in the arch!
The view from the top of the arch- our hotel is right at the bottom with the two towers- one short and wide, the other skinny and tall. Just behind the hotel is the baseball stadium where the St Louis Cardinals play- there were two games going on while we were there.
Mommy giving Emma a big kiss!!
Emma got a big kick out of looking out the windows of the arch-
At the base of the arch-
Emma kept herself entertained with some of the decorations in the conference room- our dinners ended up being quite late, and Emma handled the delayed bedtime really well.
Still have yet to get a picture of that little finger pointing!!
Emma and Daddy in the little shuttle to the top of the arch-
